Chief Eco-Catalyst: Allison Quaid

• Allison creates compelling social marketing campaigns that result in environmental sustainability by combining environmental science, behavior change strategies, and entertainment education. 
  

• Over the past fifteen years, Allison has worked with over 500 businesses, local governments and non-profit organizations to successfully green their operations.  Areas include energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmentally-responsible procurement, green building, sustainable transportation, greenhouse gas emission inventories and climate action plans, waste management, and natural resource conservation. 

• Developed and executed communication strategies (print, audio, case studies, internet, media, workshops, summits) for promoting energy efficiency among companies, organizations and governmental agencies in California while at Flex Your Power, and for companies and not-for-profit organizations.
  


• Allison excels at developing several synergistic partnerships among business, non-profit and government organizations.  She is a Steering Committee member of the Business Council on Climate Change, on the Board of Strategic Energy Innovations, a co-founder of Bay Area Climate Solutions, and she recently served as the Executive Director of the Bay Area Alliance for Sustainable Communities, a multi-sector forum that advances solutions for promoting the sustainability of the San Francisco Bay Area.
  

• Allison has consulted to the World Bank and USAID on protecting biological hot spots, multi-lateral resource protection programs and urban sustainability indicators. She is a LEED certified professional.  Allison holds a B.S. in Environmental Science and a Masters in Urban and Environmental Public Policy.
  

• Designed and installed outdoor public art which builds environmental stewardship, art, and community in San Francisco. Two recent installations, Community Action Trees and Global Mourning, reached over 1,000 people.
